Preliminary prediction for solar cycles 24 and 25 on the basis of correlation between parameters of cycles

Abstract: The correlation between different parameters of the solar cycles 1—23 was investigated. Predictions for the solar cycles 24 and 25 were made using the regressions obtained. The solar cycle 24 is expected to reach its maximal amplitude of 110.2±33.4 in April — June 2012, the next minimum will be in December 2018 — January 2019. Duration of the solar cycle 24 will be about 11.1 years. The solar cycle 25 will reach its maximal amplitude of 112.3 + 33.4 in April — June 2023. |
