Abstract:

The mass distribution for the galaxy cluster Abell 2744 (z=0.308) is investigated on the basis of archival X-ray data of the Chandra observatory. The temperature of the hot gas in the cluster (kT = 9.82+0.43-0.41 keV) and the cluster total mass for the radius R200 = 2.38+0.36-0.31 Mpc (M200 = 2.22+0.13-0.12·1015M) are estimated. The density and mass profiles for the intergalactic gas and dark matter are obtained. The fractions of the intergalactic gas and dark matter in the total mass of the cluster are 15.4+1.3-1.3 % and 84.6+1.4-1.3 %, respectively.
